I’ll come get you.

Vancouver Office Hours:
By Appointment Only
Clinical Services only offered at this location

Parking:

Parking can be challenging at both locations as they are street parking only. Please allow more time for this. If you are more than 15 min late I may have to reschedule you or cut into your service time.

Please DO NOT COME EARLY! I can not stress this enough. I play the roles of both receptionist and esthetician, and each guest has an allotted time in the office. I may not be finished with the previous guest’s service if you arrive before your appointment time.

Please do not bring the skin care products you are currently using. You can tell me about your products via the intake form, or we can chat about them when you are in the office. I do want to know about your skin care routine, but please understand that I am not comfortable giving advice regarding products that I am not familiar with or would not recommend. I do however love chatting about ingredients and what will compliment your existing skincare with the products I offer, so don’t hesitate to ask how we can get you what you need to reach your desired results.

POLICIES & FAQ

SCHEDULING:

Services and skin products are by appointment only. When making an appointment, please make sure you have selected the correct location. You will receive a confirmation email through Vagaro. You will also receive a detailed text with instructions the day before your service. If you have any questions please text me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Please understand that I could be with a guest and may have to get back to you at a later time. Texting is always best for a quicker response.\

CANCELLATIONS:

We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 72 hours before the beginning of your appointment or you may be charged a cancellation fee of 100% the price of your scheduled appointment. Your facial treatment times are reserved especially for you. I value your business and ask that you respect my policies. A charge card will be needed to hold your appointment. Should you need to cancel 72 hours or less a fee of 100% of the booked service will be charged to the card on file regardless of the reason. Booking an appointment with G Mayfield Skin Care is a commitment to honoring the cancellation fee. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please keep this in mind before you book an appointment . A no show will result in a full charge of the service booked. Showing up late to your appointment will result in a modified treatment charged at full price of the service booked. Thank you for your understanding. small businesses are taking a big financial hit with covid. This is why I need to implement these rules. If you would like to donate the other half of the fee for your canceled facial appointment that is GREATLY appreciated.

LATE ARRIVALS:

If you arrive late, I will complete as much of your treatment as possible, but it will end as previously scheduled as a courtesy to the following guest, and the full treatment fee will be accessed.

REFUND POLICY:

We do not offer refunds on services or opened products.

AGE REQUIREMENTS:

I welcome guests who are 13 years of age or older. Small children is not advised.

HEALTH CONDITIONS:

What conditions will prohibit me from receiving a facial?

There are very few things that can prohibit or “contraindicate” a facial altogether, although some conditions will require special treatment of the skin. It is very important to disclose these conditions to your esthetician for both your safety and theirs.

  • Contagious Disease – anything that can be spread by physical contact, such as pink eye, impetigo, ringworm or warts will prevent you from receiving a service. The spreading, massaging motion can spread the condition to other parts of the face and body as well as possibly infect the esthetician.

  • Herpes – if lesions are present on the face, you will not be able to receive the service for the same reasons listed above. If lesions are not present, you should still notify your esthetician since strong procedures and products, such as peels, can stress the skin and cause an outbreak.

  • Cancer – clients undergoing chemotherapy or radiation will have highly sensitized skin and should refrain from having this service. Recently, some skin care companies have released product lines specifically for patients who have undergone recent chemotherapy treatments. If your spa uses one of these lines and your doctor approves, then enjoy, but check with the spa to see if a doctor’s release will be necessary. Extensive massage is not recommended regardless of product line used.

  • Certain medications – any medication, oral or topical, meant to control the amount of oil produced on your skin or exfoliate the skin, should be disclosed to your esthetician. Some medications, regardless of purpose, may interact with ingredients or can sensitize your skin. If your skin is too irritated, you may not be able to have the facial, but this is fairly rare.

  • Heart Conditions – any treatments that have an electrical component, such as galvanic current, should not be performed.

  • Seizures or Epilepsy-  I do use an LED light that gas a strobe effect to stimulate collagen growth. This could cause a seizure for guests who have a history of getting them.

  • Cosmetic Procedures – ask your doctor if it is okay to get a facial before scheduling the appointment. During the consultation, let the esthetician know and indicate any areas of sensitivity. Highly potent products should not be placed over any recent scar tissue or wounds nor should any massage be performed.

  • Sunburn – applying products to sunburned skin is usually very uncomfortable and a massage is nearly impossible.

Can I still get a facial if I’m pregnant?

Yes, although you should let your esthetician know so that certain things can be avoided. Some Aromatherapy oils, some anti-acne and anti-aging products, and vigorous massage, especially on the hands and feet are very stimulating and should be avoided, especially during the first trimester. If you are an “at risk” pregnancy or have any concerns, definitely speak with your doctor before booking the appointment.

PET POLICY:

I am an animal lover but they are not allowed in G Mayfield Skin Care. As part of the standards of the Oregon State Board of Cosmetology pets are not allowed in the room and the business could be fined if they are present. Service dogs are always welcome. Thank you.
